Exhibition Sales Opportunity
Faversham House will be announcing the launch of a new exhibition in the coming months. The exhibition will take place for the first time in 2013 and will co-locate with the highly successful NEMEX and IWEX exhibitions as part of Sustainabilitylive! at the NEC, Birmingham. We are looking for a skilled, experienced field-sales professional to sell exhibition space, sponsorship and to develop new business opportunities.
The post will be based in our Altrincham office. Dependent on experience, track record and background, the role could be designed at either a Sales Executive or a Sales Manager level.
The successful applicant will need to have previous media field sales experience, preferably in the B2B arena and ideally on exhibitions. Outstanding applicants without exhibition sales experience will be considered. Being prepared to work hard both on face to face calls and on the telephone are essential qualities, as is the need for good IT skills. As this is a launch exhibition, the emphasis will be on face to face calls and getting out there to meet and understand your market.
Essential requirements:
- Field Sales: should have a successful track record either within B2B or exhibitions, ideally both
- Communication skills: the successful applicant will have the persuasive skills to communicate effectively face to face or over the phone

Faversham House is recruiting for a Senior Sales Manager (currently based in South Croydon although moving to East Grinstead during 2012) to lead a sales team across display, online and classified for DIY Week, the UK’s premier title for the home improvement retail market. This new position presents an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing a well known and successful B2B brand. You will be responsible for motivating and developing a team of sales professionals as well as managing your own portfolio of clients. This role would suit someone with excellent communication skills who is used to developing and motivating staff, with excellent persuasive skills, able to build strong and enduring relationships with clients and a commercial awareness that will allow the successful candidate to spot key opportunities Essential requirements:
- Management: proven track record of leading sales teams successfully in a B2B environment
- Experience across all channels: the successful applicant will have sold online and in print and will be experienced in managing teams to do both
- Sales skills: a proven track record of success in selling in this or similar markets
